If you like chocolate covered strawberries (and let’s be honest, who doesn’t) you will love this chocolate covered strawberry protein smoothie. This smoothie makes a great breakfast, snack, or post workout smoothie… and don’t be deceived, there are a few more steps than the typical protein smoothie, but it is still incredibly easy!
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Protein Smoothie
- Strawberry Layer:
- 3/4 Cups frozen strawberries
- 1/2 scoop vanilla protein power
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- Chocolate Layer:
- 1/2 Banana
- 1/2 cup ice
- 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1/2 tablespoon cocoa powder
- In a blender, blend ingredients for strawberry layer. Set aside in another glass.
- Blend chocolate layer ingredients.
- Pour half of chocolate layer into a glass, then all of the strawberry layer, then complete with the remaining chocolate layer.
- Serve immediately. This recipe makes 1 smoothie... you can always double it!
